Hi, I'm Adam Diop

backend developer

About

Eight years of practice

I started in secondary school with Minecraft plugins in Java. Eight years on, what I enjoy has not changed: watching an idea turn into something that actually runs. I build APIs and backend services, and I run the infrastructure behind them. I learn by breaking things, then fixing them.

Technical skills

What I build, ship, and secure backend services with.

Security

Vulnerability research on Bug Bounty and VDP — the most notable being an RCE on a U.S. federal government site (United States Tax Court).

Backend & APIs

The pieces I build APIs with that hold up in production.

Databases

Modelling, querying, and evolving the schema.

DevOps & Infrastructure

What runs, ships, and watches my services.

Networking

From inter-network routing down to the reverse proxy.

Picked for reliability, performance, and type safety: not for fashion.

Interests

What I spend my free time on: infrastructure, networking, visuals, and side projects.

Homelab & self-hosting

I run my own Proxmox VE server, hosting my services and testing architectures on it.

Networking & certification

I operate AS53514 (peering, announcements, IPv6) to formalise what I learned hands-on.
